Spring: March - May
Weather is between 15 and 23 degrees celsius. It is mostly sunny. At this time, Yanagshuo has been full of tinges of spring – colorful flowers and green willows compete with each other for beauty of looks. Sometimes, there are spring drizzles, but something lighter like T-shirts with a raincoat will be comfortable. You can rent a bike and visit Yangshuo's Countryside, or stay in West Street, find a nice restaurant and have a relax day.
Summer: June - August
Weather is between 24 and 32 degree celsius. May and June is a rainy season, always remember to bring an umbrella with you if you go there at this time.
T-shirts with skirts, shorts or slacks are the best choice for summer when the temperature can be rather high. It would be wise to bring sun block with you, some medicine to prevent heatstroke and insect repellant Local herbal tea also helps travelers to become accustomed to the local weather and water.
Cruising on the Li river and having bamboo rafting on the Yulong River would be a great idea. You will find that the weather is much lower near the river. If you prefer indoor, visiting West Street, the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years, would be one of your best choice. Being completely paved with marble it is a typical example of a southern China street. It is greatly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. There is a saying about it that 'half is village while the other half is stores'.
Autumn: September - November
Weather is between 17 and 26 degree celsius. Comfortable, casual and light clothes such as long-sleeved T-shirts or shirts plus thin jackets would be enough.
It is the golden season to visit Yangshuo. At this period of time, the water in the Li River is as smooth as a glass, it is a best time to enjoy the reflections of the mountains. Except the activities we mentioned above, we would highly recommend you to enjoy other awesome activites like Longmen Water Cave, Climbing on the karst mountains, Impression Sanjie Liu, Night fishing with cormorants etc.
Winter: December - February
Weather is between 6 and 13 degree celsius. The whole city is covered with blossoming sweet-scented osmanthus giving off its fragrance everywhere. Traveling Yangshuo in winter, you just have to take some lightweight winter wear like thermal underwear and woolen sweaters. Snow is rare here, but there is the chance to enjoy the winter snow in or on the top of the mountains around the city during the coldest time before or after the Chinese Spring Festival.
